Abstract
Orville and Wilbur Wright never constructed a complete set of drawings for any of their flyers or gliders. In the mid-1940s, friend of the Wright's, Edward Deeds, commissioned Louis P. Christman, to complete, not only a set of drawings for the famous 1903 Flyer, but also the 1900, 1901, and 1902 Gliders, and the 1903 and 1904 Flyers. The Cold War Aerospace Technology Oral History Project primarily contains oral histories gathered from several workers in the field of Aerospace Technology during the Cold War (1946-1992). With few exceptions, the interviewees were all engineers and worked at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base on projects ranging from stealth and fly-by-wire technology to jet propulsion and foreign intelligence gathering, etc.

Curtiss La Q. Day, an early American aviator, obtained his pilot's license at the Wright Brothers School in 1914. He was a flight instructor at several flight schools, including the Wright Flying School at Hempstead Plains, New York. Day was also a member of the Early Birds and his name appears on the Wright Memorial Plaque in Dayton. The collection consists of 79 photographs, 2 letters and a postcard.
